Video Consultations in Helsenorge with Confrere

With the new integration approved by Norsk Helsenett, patients and authorized representatives can join consultations directly from the Helsenorge portal without downloading apps, creating separate accounts, or switching systems.

The integration makes it easier for healthcare providers to offer digital consultations as a natural part of the existing patient journey while maintaining high standards for security, accessibility, and usability.

Digital consultations directly in the patient workflow

Norsk Helsenett is a key part of Norway’s digital healthcare infrastructure. Approval as a supplier means the solution has been reviewed for:

• Information security
• Technical quality
• Compatibility with healthcare workflows
• Integration requirements within Helsenorge

For patients, this means consultations start where their healthcare interactions already happen. For healthcare providers, it removes the need for:

• external video links,
• separate video platforms,
• additional downloads,
• or parallel workflows.

Authorized representatives are also supported and can participate in consultations on behalf of patients when needed.

How do I get started?

The Helsenorge integration is available for healthcare providers using Confrere. To enable the integration

1. To enable this integration you need to be the Owner of the account and the organization headquarter must be in Norway.
2. You can enable this integration in Settings → API and Integrations.
3. When you enable this you will get a specific lobby that you can use for providing care in Helsenorge.
4. Note! As a customer you need to contact Norsk Helsenett to register this link in Helsenorge.
