Identification that meets government requirements
Over 3.7 million Norwegians are already using BankID.
BankID is issued by banks and is used to log in to all Norwegian banks and public services. BankID meets the government criteria for digital identity checks.
In most banks, a person must be at least 15 years of age to acquire BankID, though some banks offer it to customers from the age of 13.
Meets government criteria for the health sector
The Norwegian Standard for Information Security in the Health Sector requires that patients are identified on security level 4 (Section 5.7.5) in video consultations. BankID meets these requirements which means that Confrere can be used for video calls in the health sector. Confrere also observes all other security requirements in the Norwegian health sector.
